Military Version of Osh 100 Ultralight Expedition Backpack
The military version of the Osh 100 ultralight expedition backpack retains the main advantage of its parent version: low weight combined with high resistance. This backpack is designed to hold all necessary equipment and is convenient for long-term transportation on foot.
Weight: 1460 g
Design Features:
- Power Frame: Consists of four horizontal and two vertical rings made from sling material. This design prevents point loads on the seams, as the side ties are not sewn into them, reducing the risk of tearing.
- Back: Made of lightweight, breathable AirMech mesh for improved ventilation while wearing the backpack. A mat can be inserted inside the back for additional rigidity.
- Removable Valve: Attached with fastex, it can be easily removed and converted into an independent small backpack. An empty backpack can be completely hidden in the flap.
- Roll-Top Closure: The backpack closes with a roll-top, making it easy to twist and adjust the volume. It can be worn without the valve.
- Soft Belt: Comprises two halves that fit snugly around the waist and hips, allowing for optimal weight distribution.
Pockets:
- Side Pockets: Roomy elastic pockets at the bottom for easy access to gear.
- Front Pocket: A flat pocket for storing a map, papers, raincoat, or similar items.
- Belt Pockets: Zippered pockets for necessary small items.
- Flap Pockets: Three zippered pockets for additional storage.
Compression and Attachment Features:
- Compression Capability: Can be compressed to the size of a lightweight 30-liter backpack when necessary.
- Equipment Fasteners: Four fasteners located on the side of the backpack, with two secured by fastex for easier attachment of equipment. Clamps on the valve allow for additional equipment to be secured on top.
- Lightening Possibility: The valve is removable, allowing for the upper part of the backpack to be tightened without it.
This military version of the Osh 100 is designed for durability and functionality, making it an ideal choice for demanding expeditions.
